When your time is right, everything that you touch will turn to Gold”. It is this timeless insight that 7Up, the clear lemon refreshing drink is building on for its new campaign, 7Up Ponneram.
Chennaites were introduced to 7Up Ponneram today, by popular actress Kajal Aggarwal. Speaking to audiences at the city’s Express Avenue Mall, Kajal told audiences how the concept of Ponneram resonates with her because she believes that one should always be their authentic cool self and when the time is right, everything automatically falls into place.
She shared anecdotes with the audience from her own life when she chilled, and the times turned golden.
Kajal Aggarwal said, “I am very excited to be here in Chennai today as part of the 7Up Ponneram campaign. 7Up is a cool and young brand and they’ve always encouraged people to just be themselves. With the new 7Up Ponneram campaign, they’ve brought to life a simple belief that when your time is right, you could chill and still win. I have always believed in this and it’s the single thought that has kept me going at all points of time.”
Kajal was joined on stage by Anuja Mishra, Associate Director-Flavours Marketing, PepsiCo India. Together they unveiled the limited edition Ponneram branded 7Up equity bottles which will be available in the state of Tamil Nadu till the promo is valid.
Speaking about the 7Up Ponneram campaign, Anuja said, “South India is a primary market for 7Up and the brand has constantly innovated in order to communicate with consumers in contextually relevant ways. Our research showed that in today’s fast paced world, consumers are looking for quick and quirky ways to stand out and that’s how the concept of Ponneram was envisaged. We are very excited to have Kajal Aggarwal with us today to introduce the campaign to Chennai. Kajal epitomizes the brand’s core belief of being chilled out and confident. We are sure that consumers will also resonate with the idea of 7Up Ponneram.”
The highlight of the afternoon was a dance performance by 7Up’s army of golden men, or the ‘thangapatallam’. The group of six golden performers danced to the tunes of 7Up’s latest TVC and walked around engaging with consumers.
As part of the 7Up Ponneram campaign, consumers stand a chance to ‘WIN GOLD EVERY HOUR’ over the next two months. The mega prize is a gold coin of 10 gms of 22 carat every hour between 10 am and 8 pm every day from 1st December 2018 to 31st January 2019.
