THE LAUNCH OF NANOLIFE, A CHAIN OF SPECIALITY MEDICAL CENTRES
Dhanvantari Nano Ayushadi P Ltd (DNA), for the first time in India/South Asia has established a first-of-its-kind Green Nanotechnology Research and Product Development, as per guidelines of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy). DNA has launched Nanolife, a chain of speciality medical centres in Chennai today to aid diagnosis and to provide treatment for chronic and lifestyle ailments.
The Medical centre was inaugurated by Dr Kattesh V. Katti, also known as ‘Father of Green Nanotechnology’. The launch was presided over by Ms Akhila Srinivasan, Managing Director – Shriram Life Insurance, Mr Abhayakumar, Chairman – Dhanvantari Nano Ayushadi P Ltd & Chairman – LifeCell International P Ltd and Mr Deepak Abhayakumar, Managing Director, Nanolife. Dr Katti was felicitated for receiving the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019, during the occasion.
Nanolife is a chain of Speciality Medical Centres providing treatments in the field of Oncology, Immunology, Diabetes and Orthopedic & Infectious Diseases. Being a Startup India Initiative, it imbibes the use of Silver and Gold Nanotechnology for Adjuvant Medical Purposes.
Nanolife’s treatment, named Arbudari, primarily focuses on the decision to not use man-made chemicals. It is a combination of gold nanoparticles with potent natural ingredients that target tumour cells in the body directly without attacking healthy tissue. The main aim of the nanomedicine is to boost the body’s immune system to help it fight cancer and to ensure a better quality of life through the treatment period.
The emergence of the concept can be traced back to over three decades of research in biomedical sciences done by Dr Katti. In 2005, the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health, USA invested in Dr Katti’s Nanomedicine Research at the University of Missouri Medical School. This aided in the work towards the invention of the concept of Green Nanotechnology which allows the application of disease-curing phytochemicals to develop varieties of gold and silver nanoparticles for use in cancer therapy, ophthalmology, antibiotics and allied medical applications. Recognizing the tremendous futuristic value of Green Nanotechnology for Nanomedicine, Mr Abhaya Kumar, Chairman of Nanolife, obtained the exclusive license and global rights for a series of Green Nanotechnology Platform technologies invented by Dr Katti from the University Of Missouri. NanolIfe embraces the humanitarian philosophy of the World Health Organization (WHO) which has forecast that “Over 85% of the global population would utilize one or the other form of alternative/complementary medicine during their lifetime”.
Dr Kattesh V. Katti, globally recognised as the Father of Green Nanotechnology and internationally acclaimed award-winning scientist, said, “NanoLife’s products will be of tremendous help to Doctors practising Allopathic Medicine and also various alternative/complementary medicine modalities too.”
With over 50 patents and 175 inventions against his name, Dr Katti reiterated the need for adjuvant therapies like Arbudari in preventing and combating cancer and lifestyle diseases. He added, “I strongly believe that discoveries should translate into value-added products to ultimately serve humanity.”
Mr Deepak Abhayakumar, Managing Director, Nanolife said, “I stongly believe that the NanoMedicines by Nanolife will change the healthcare landscape of the country and the world at large.”
Mr Abhayakumar, Chairman – Dhanvantari Nano Ayushadi P Ltd & Chairman, LifeCell International P Ltd said, “With the launch of Nanolife’s speciality medical centre, we also have plans to open two more clinics in Adyar and Mount Road in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu. Nanolife also has plans to open similar centres in Ahmedabad, Hubli and Mumbai in the next three months. There are also plans to open up information centres across the city. Nanolife plans to open 50 more such centres across the country.”
Patients who benefited from Nanolife Arbudari were present on the occasion and shared their real experience.
