A unique day for the Special Children

For MCDS, an NGO working at Chennai, Special Children are their priority that

too Special Children who are almost rejected by their own parents.

A systematic Multi Medical Camp was organised at Chemmencherry for the

Special Children of all their Four Centres along with their Parents and siblings.

This camp was taken care of by Kavery Hospital under the leadership of Dr.

Bala Murali, Senior Consultant Spine and Neuro Surgeon. There were specialist

in Neurology, Cardiology, Paedtrician, Psychiatry, General Physician and you

may note a real follow-up will be taken care by Kavery Hospital.There were 90

Special Children and parents and sublings together around 200 beneficiaries of

the camp. MCDS Director Rev. Bro. Joseph Louis whole heartedly thanked the

Doctors and the team for their willingness to follow-up the patients through

Kavery Hospital.

An extra ordinary Annual Day was held in the afternoon for these Special

Children and for their parents. Events were organised for them in three

categories such as Special Children under 15 years, Special Children above 15

years and Parents. It was heartening to see their performance during this

Annual Day by way of various Dances.

Other sectors of MCDS such as SHG groups, Youth, Senior Citizens and Tuition

students were actively involved with the Special Children as their own brothers

and sisters. CBR Staff were fully involved to make this Special Day a grand and

memorable day. The Director thanked all those people who are collaborating

with MCDS for the cause of these children. Lions Club of Sholinganallur and the
