The Company is seeing a definite shift in the way Learning is perceived by all stakeholders among corporate organizations in India. This existing need -now has a new dimension to explore. For example, what value the leaning function can bring in order to align the learning needs to the business. This leads Corporates to new thinking and ideas as they are ready to explore to expand business horizons.
Ms. Susan Sudhir, Director,Learning Operations, GP Strategies said,“Today it is not about classroom delivery alone but how learning can be constructed from scratch and then consumed to bring about desired results. This offers tremendous opportunity for us to grow. As global leaders, GP Strategies is the only service provider that has all learning solutions under one roof”.
The learning market is mostly fragmented and no single service provider offers all learning services and business models. A consolidation in the industry is expected with movement in services provided for example a shift from content development into the LMS space or a move into the education sector is being seen. GP Strategies islooking to expand itsreach to corporates in India by taking advantage of these vacant spaces and create a roadmap for that journey.
Addressing the Media, Mr. Sanjay Mandal, Country Head& Director APAC, GP Strategies said,“Learning being a complex function is no longer set to the confines of an HR department. Unlike HR which is transactional or strategic, Learning can be extremely dynamic, innovative and Strategic. The DNA of learning function is very different from any other function, so the Learning function needs help.”
It is for this reason GP Strategies is connecting with business stakeholders in India.“CEO’s can play an important part of enabling this environment where they look upon the Learning functions as key players in the room to be part of the Strategic transformation. Of course, Learning will have to raise its stakes in the game to be able to showcase the ROI.”
Finally, the Company believes that Learning acts as the eyes and ears of an organization. If the CEOrequires to look at seismic shifts in his organization, Learning could be that Richter scale that can actively provide the indicators to navigate a company in today’s business environment. To take a step forward in this regard, GP Strategies India has planned Showcase Events this year where select customers would be invited for look and feel of GP Strategies’ solutions.
