SALIM MERCHANT DEBUTS AS AN RJ WITH 92.7 BIG FM'S NEW SHOW #SALIM
Mumbai, 17 th May, 2017: 92.7 BIG FM, India’s No. 1 and largest radio network, has been constantly
creating shows that are successful in alluring its audience across regions. Adding to the repertoire of
diverse shows, the radio network introduced a new show named #Salim under its hat as its latest
offering. The musical show that marks the debut of legendary music composer Salim Merchant as an
RJ was launched amidst a high-octane event. The show takes its listeners on a refreshing musical
journey every Monday to Thursday between 6pm-8pm.
#Salim was launched in the presence of acclaimed singer and composer Salim Merchant who was
seen visibly ecstatic for donning the role of an RJ. The set up impeccably represented the look and
feel of a studio with a console and mike, providing the audience present at the event an insight into
the making of the show.

maestros such as Bappi Lahiri, Usha Uthup, Jatin-Lalit, Shaan, Shankar Mahadevan, Anu Malik,
Kumar Sanu, Amit Trivedi, Udit Narayan, and Sonu Nigam among others, will mark their presence
on the show.
The show in the whimsical voice of Salim Merchant will acquaint listeners with his in-depth
knowledge about music. It will also share interesting anecdotes, trivia and behind the scene details
such as the kind of instruments used in the making of evergreen songs of Indian cinema among
other riveting information. This inimitable format perfectly emulates the essence of the show’s
tagline – ‘Bollywood Ke Trendsetters Salim Merchant Ke Saath’.
