Open Cake Challenge at Food Consulate
Food Consulate in association with Fondbites School of Sugar Arts presented Open Cake Challenge, a cake-making competition for students and homebakers to promote the trade of making cakes and pastry.
On Day 1, students from colleges and schools from in and around TamilNadu participated and the competition was judged by Chef Willi Wilson, Cake Artist Subhashini Ramsingh and Chef Jins Paul. The winners from day 1 were Manya Maneel (Gold), Vanshika Singh (Silver) and Sirisha Katta (Bronze).
On Day 2, Homebakers from all over South India who will participated in the advance fondant cake-making competition and it was judged by the top Cake Artist and Chefs from India – Cake Artist Arati Mirji, Cake Artist Anna Austin and Chef Rumana Jaseel. The winners from Day 2 were Uthayanela Ramachandran (Gold), Sheetal CHourasia (Silver) and Bindhu Hepzibha (Bronze).
15 top Home bakers showcased their bakery goods, produces and baking supplies to the visitors. A range of pastries, cakes, brownies, speciality breads, cookies & biscuits, ice creams, home made chocolates, pies (savory and sweet), stuﬀed buns, pizzas, Indian baked delicacies and much more were showcased here.
